UN declares Rachel’s Tomb to be a mosque
The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) decided last week to relabel as an Islamic mosque the tomb of Rachel, one of Israel’s matriarchs, and demanded that Israel remove the site from its National Heritage list.

If the nearly 4,000-year-old burial sites of the Patriarchs and Matriarchs of the Jewish Nation – Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Sarah, Rebecca, Rachel and Leah – are not part of its culture and tradition, then what is a national cultural site?”

Israeli version of Arab headdress angers Palestinians
The Palestinian Authority’s minister of culture, Siham Barghouti, on Tuesday ordered an investigation into the growing phenomenon of the Israeli version of the traditional Arab headdress known as the keffiyeh.
Barghouti told Ma’an Radio that the Israeli keffiyeh, which replaces the traditional black or red checkered pattern with blue Stars of David, is a theft of “Palestinian heritage.” He insisted that the keffiyeh is a “Palestinian national symbol.”
